Las Vegas set to join F1 calendar for 2023 and beyond

In the last few weeks and months, its been reported that F1 and the Las Vegas promoters have reached a deal for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to be added to the F1 calendar for 2023 and beyond. In 2022 we will see the introduction of a new American F1 race in the streets of Miami which was announced last year.

F1 is growing more and more popular every year, especially in the United States and talks began with F1 and the Las Vegas promoters as a result so a third race could take place in the United States. The rise in the popularity of the American F1 fan base could be a result of the Netflix “Drive to survive” series which has proved very popular in the US. Another reason could be the could be American Haas F1 Team who joined in 2016 and their Kevin Magnussen achieved a P5 finish in the first round of this season.

Formula 1 journalist Sergio Rodriguez reported on the 17th of March that it seemed like it was a “done deal between F1 and Las Vegas promoters” and F1 will race in Las Vegas next year.

It has also been reported that the Las Vegas Grand Prix could take place in late November of 2023 and being possibly one of the final races of the season. The announcement of the F1 2023 calendar seems ‘imminent’.
