Alpine have announced that Pierre Gasly will stay at the team for next season after signing a multi-year deal not long after Ocon's departure was made public.
Pierre Gasly, who joined the French outfit in 2023, has now signed a new long term deal at the team, putting an end to rumours that both Alpine drivers would leave at the end of the season.
It was announced a few weeks ago that Esteban Ocon would leave the team at the end of the season after achieving the teams only win in recent years at the Hungaroring in 2021.
Many discussed whether Gasly would also been shown the door, or whether he decided to leave the team after their poor start to the season but today's announcement confirms the teams plans.
Australian driver and team reserve driver Jack Doohan is the driver who many believe will replace Ocon but Alpine are expected to evaluate a few drivers before making a final decision.
