Two teams interested in Bottas for 2025

After Kick Sauber confirmed Nico Hulkenberg as one of their drivers for the 2025 season, many have questioned which driver he will replace or if both drivers will be shown the door after a few other drivers have been linked to the Swiss-based team.

Valtteri Bottas, who moved to Sauber from Mercedes ahead of the 2022 season, hasn't had much success with the team after a high of tenth in the championship in his first season with the team.

The Finn has raced for just three teams so far in his 11-year Formula 1 career, but could he be adding a fourth or returning to a familiar face?

Bottas, who has 10 wins and 67 podiums to his name, was seen leaving the Williams motorhome yesterday after what was believed to be a 15-minute meeting with team principal James Vowels.

Before his move to Mercedes in 2017, Bottas raced with the Williams team and was a very impressive driver, hence why he was rewarded with a Mercedes drive. The Finn also worked with Vowels throughout his duration with the team.

Another team interested in Bottas' services is Alpine, according to racingnews365.com.

The French outfit is reportedly looking at options should one of their drivers be poached by another team, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the team's performances so far this season.

Bottas, who is now 34 years old, has said he wants to race into his 40s, and after the Sauber team's struggles this season and the team's beginning to transition into Audi, the Finn is definitely looking at other options.
